Tell me about the key features of your product or service?
Rob: The Coupa platform provides greater visibility into and control over how companies spend money. As one of the only successful IPOs of 2016, Coupa seeks to do what Salesforce did to sales process automation, but on the expense side of the equation. As a cloud-based, automated spend management platform, Coupa provides companies with better ways to track, see and manage all facets of how a company and each employee spends money. The consumerized financial application (think Amazon-like interface) gives employees a digitized and easy way for travel and expense management, procurement and invoicing. Coupa delivers “value as a service” by helping customers maximize their spend under management, achieve significant cost savings and drive profitability. To date, Coupa has helped hundreds of customers across the globe bring over $15 billion in cumulative spend under smarter management.
What makes your product or service so innovative, and what are the hot button issues it addresses for companies?
Rob: The hot button issue Coupa addresses concerns profitability. Coupa helps companies spend money in smarter ways and save money in smarter ways. Companies purchase the same goods and services for LESS using Coupa. Companies process more invoices in real-time with no increase in headcount using Coupa. Companies buy more goods and services off negotiated contracts using Coupa. Companies reject and prevent unnecessary spend using Coupa.
