According to ABC News, a British man stole 40,000 pounds ($64,368) from an elderly man for his own gain and then faked being in a coma for two years to avoid charges.

The man’s wife was in on the scam as well, taking photographs of her husband surrounded by medical equipment. However, he was eventually caught in a store thanks to security cameras. He was charged with multiple counts of theft and making a false representation for gain.

We discussed this topic on today’s segment of 3 AM Egos and thought it was one of the more ridiculous things we’ve ever heard! Kevin(host) and Sigmund(producer) even said that today’s politicians get away with this all the time, just not in a comatose state!
