Marty Schweitzer served in the United States Armed Forces for 30 years and achieved the rank of Brigadier General before retiring and entering the civilian workforce in 2014. During his time in the military he developed strong organizational and leaderships skills, as well as a personal commitment to improving workforce conditions and operational outcomes. His expertise in executive level management and leadership helped him to transition seamlessly to a new career as a CEO and President, as well as act in an advisory capacity for other businesses.
Marty Schweitzer currently serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Network Designs, Inc. (NDi), a proud Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides both government and commercial entities with cybersecurity solutions, IT infrastructure, cloud-based operations capabilities, information management, content management, web communications, app development, and more. As the President and CEO, Schweitzer is responsible for planning and implementing long-term, strategic goals and overseeing operations. His prowess in the field of executive management ensures positive outcomes for all of NDi’s clientele.
In addition to his duties at NDi, Schweitzer is also pleased to help other businesses by acting as an advisor, bringing years of knowledge and experience to bear on behalf of growing companies. Marty Schweitzer serves on the advisory board for Ballard Brands LLC and Ballard Hospitality LLC, comprised of several service brands that include restaurants, cafes, and remote site support services and workforce solutions for the hospitality industry. He also serves on the advisory board for Red Gate Group (RGG), another SDVOSB company offering intelligence analysis, strategic planning, policy development, operational design, and technology integration services to a number of government clients.
In his capacity as a member of these advisory boards, Schweitzer brings over three decades of experience to the table, providing these growing companies with a wealth of knowledge that will help them to improve operations, serve clientele, and increase opportunities for success. His dedication to improving performance and working conditions helps the companies he advises to become industry leaders in their own right, earning strong reputations for excellence among their peers and clients while empowering workers to excel.
Over the last decade, Schweitzer has focused largely on technological integration in the workforce, specifically in regards to improving efficiency, effectiveness, and human performance. Prior to joining the civilian workforce, Schweitzer spent decades advancing through the ranks of the U.S. Armed Forces, culminating in his final active-duty assignment as Deputy Director for Regional Operations, J3, Joint Staff at the Pentagon. His knowledge, skill, and leadership abilities were put to good use for the purposes of managing daily global risk factors for U.S. military operations. He was tasked not only with ensuring the safety and well-being of troops across the globe, but also coordinating with various agencies and entities, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, uniformed services, and combat commands.
Throughout the course of his long military career, Marty Schweitzer proved his intelligence and mettle, tackling both operational and command assignments at every level as his career advanced. He carried out eight combat and operational tours across the globe during his time in the military, including assignments in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Africa, and Panama.
Marty Schweitzer graduated from Old Dominion University in Virginia where he earned a BS degree in 1985). He continues to support his alma mater and attend events at the school to this day. He went on to earn an MS in Education, Instructional Systems Technology in 1995 from Indiana University, after which he attended the National War College, becoming a Distinguished Honor Graduate in 2006 with an MS degree in National Security Strategy.
