Marine Gun Instructor Offers Free Gun License Training Class for Teachers

Highly trained serviceman responds to school shooting threats with practical response

Houston, Texas (June 20, 2018) – U.S. Marine Corps veteran attends vigil in the aftermath of shooting in Santa Fe High School. “I wanted to support my community and came to be with families and public officials who were grappling with a terrible situation,” says Daniel Martin, former Combat Arms Marine and Gun Trainer, “Equipping schools with every tool possible to stop these tragedies, including arming teachers, should be of the highest priority.”

“The U.S. Government has provided me and my fellow Marines with some incredible training and I have pursued some advanced certifications as well, and I wanted to do my part to help teachers and their families who are interested in getting their license to carry in Texas,” said Martin, a Texas DPS Certified Handgun License Instructor.

TEACHERS: Teachers and school administration with a valid employee ID will receive their LTC/Pistol Carry Level 1 training FREE at the upcoming July 7 course, and discounted rates for any referrals who attend concurrently.

Cost for non-teachers*:  $75** for class and $18 for gun range
*State license fee and fingerprint are separate. All students should bring at least 50 rounds of ammo and their handgun. If you do not have a firearm, contact Bellicose Life Retention.

Sgt Mac’s Gun Shack (combat veteran owned and operated) of Galveston and Best Shot Gun Range have joined forces to make the gun range free for teachers taking the course.

The Texas LTC allows the licensee to carry a pistol concealed or openly, on or about their person, in public in the Great State of Texas. The license also allows carry in several other states through reciprocity agreements.

This course has a legally mandated length of 4-6 hours of classroom time, as well as a shooting qualification (active duty military/recent veterans may be accepted, contact Daniel for information). The TX LTC course covers the state-mandated topics and information, as well as content enhanced by Bellicose Life Retention for the BLR Pistol Carry Level 1 Certification.
