Mike’s distinguished career in the fast casual and QSR industries spans nearly three decades with brands like HoneyBaked Ham, Arby’s and Wendy’s International.
Under Mike’s leadership, Tropical Smoothie Café has reported double-digit comp sales growth since 2013. He has been instrumental in increasing the system’s AUV by nearly 45 percent and expanding the brand’s footprint by more than 150 locationsover the last five years. He continues to drive sustainable growth for the brand through menu innovation and development of a new restaurant prototype.
After his success at Tropical Smoothie, Mike joined the BIP Franchise Accelerator in 2014 to leverage his deep franchise experience to help emerging brands accelerate their growth — like Tin Drum Asiacafé. Rotondo was hired as CEO of Tin Drum in 2015 to help reinvigorate the brand and re-launch its franchise development efforts to aggressively grow its footprint in target markets across the Southeast.
