Tell me about your firm.

Y Soft provides enterprise print and scan management solutions and 3D printers under the be3D brand.

We have 270 employees located around the world. In the US we have offices in Grapevine, TX and Miami Florida, the latter office supports our Latin American efforts.

Our solutions are sold to Fortune 1,000 companies and SMB through a sales channel which consists of companies who manufacturer multifunctional devices such as Xerox, Fuji Xerox, Konica Minolta, Ricoh and Sharp, authorized resellers, independent resellers and dealers. The companies who use our software solution are interested in utilizing these multi-functional devices to save money, make their employees more productive, securing the access to documents and contributing to their company’s sustainability and environmental goals.

What type and size of companies do you have as clients?

Our customers range from the world’s largest oil and gas producing company to universities and small businesses. Our solutions are in healthcare, finance, insurance, consumer product manufacturers and automakers. Any company that copies, scans and prints is a potential customer.

Tell me about your business experience outside of Texas?

Y Soft is headquartered in the Czech Republic in a town called Brno, about 1-1/2 hours south of Prague. We have offices to support customers throughout Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Australia.

Each office supports customers in the local culture and language. Each office also serves as sales and local marketing.

Tell me about when you first considered moving to Texas, what persuaded you to make that move?

Our first US office came through an acquisition of a company called XpertImage. The company was located in Grapevine, TX. We made the conscious decision to stay in Texas and use the location as a basis for our North American presence. We established a new office in Grapevine and continue to operate there.

Why do you think Texas is good for business?

Texas is centrally. Since we have one office for supporting the US and Canada (our Miami office supports Latin America only), being centrally located makes it easy to support east and west coast time zones.

Travel to and from the Dallas area is very easy with many airline options and direct routes to major cities in the country. This is very important in supporting customers.

Travel to and from Dallas to international cities is also easy. This is extremely important since the management team often travels to Dallas from either our home country or from other international cities. Being able to have direct flights in most cases is very convenient.

Texas also has a large employee pool, particularly high tech. Cost of living in Texas is lower compared to other high tech areas of the country.

Do you have any final thoughts on this topic?

Coincidentally, Grapevine is the sister city of Brno, Czech Republic.
