Timothy Sykes – Scam or Real? 2020 Review

Well known as one of the best Gurus for online stock trading, Timothy Sykes is sometimes called a scam artist. In this review we’ll uncover if all that is true or not!

Timothy Sykes Review 2020

The man behind the money:

Timothy Sykes, stock trading expert, now an entrepreneur, have had his share of haters and admirers since his name got prominent in the online stock trading community. Sykes got much publicized after he turned his $12,415 Bar Mitzvah money into $2 million while he was still attending university. His blazing popularity was divided amongst groups; half of them calling him a scam and a hoax, while the other cheered him on as their cash making machine. I am a skeptic by nature, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and research about this guy.

To my surprise, Tim’s trading performance was impressive. If this is what he has been able to achieve in the last couple of years, I wanted to see what it is all about. Take a look:

What was settled above the surface wasn’t enough to satisfy my curiosity, so I decided to dig deeper that led me down a rabbit-hole of self-promotion, marketing, learning and copious amounts of money being made.

So, let’s find out what I uncovered.

What’s the hype all about:

Profit.ly is Tim Sykes’s educational hub, trading platform and home to more than 160,000 traders where they practice and beat the market in real-time. Through profit.ly, traders can verify their trading records, track profits, comment on the trades of other users and be listed on the site’s leaderboards. The platform provides you the gateway to become one of Tim’s students. It has all the training materials; DVDs, a massive video lesson library, access to chat room, webinars, books, commentaries, you name it.

Tim has two basic subscription plans for his students:

  1. Tim’s Alert:
  2. Pennystocking Silver Plan

Both plans are good value for money, but only for the right audiences. Tim’s alert is better for experts who only need to observe the market and follow Tim’s moves. While Pennystocking silver is more suited for newbies, who actually want to learn how to trade. You’re paying the extra price for the educational content provided, and honestly, the cost gets justified once you start learning from Tim. His style of teaching is not fancy or bookish, its real. He takes you through it all step by step. His DVDs are a silver bullet if you’re someone looking to learn stock trading from scratch.

Technical analysis, Fundamental Analysis and his three famous favorite patterns – you’ll find most of his lectures based on these concepts. This is how he trades, his strategies revolve around these concepts and studying past trends. You’ll also often find him exposing companies dealing with sketchy pump-and-dumps, it’s all part of the learning experience he wants his students to have.

The Chat Room:

The chat room was one of the most helpful features; in my opinion. It includes alerts for whenever Tim makes a trade. You can access it anywhere, since the alerts can reach you through email and even SMS. And if you miss Tim’s moves, there’s always Michael Goode (one of Tim’s millionaire student and also a moderator). He’s mostly active and seen making some good calls during the day.

The chat room gets too noisy sometimes, due to so many students interacting, sometimes the chat is even filled with irrelevant comments, but you can always filter the chat to see only the posts made by the moderators.

What might not float your boat:

The Millionaire Challenge:

As much as the Millionaire Challenge is given hype to, I believe it’s really taken lightly. If you actually anticipate that the millionaire challenge can really make you a millionaire overnight, go back to the drawing board. The Millionaire Challenge is exactly what it’s called – a challenge. To begin with, it comes with a premium price of $5000. That’s the kind of money you can save for a rainy day, or even invest in trading itself. The challenge does give you a lot more accessibility in terms of learning content and opportunities to directly learn under Tim’s supervision, but its not a piece of cake. It requires you to give all of your time and dedication. If you already have a job during the trading hours, you don’t qualify. To enter the challenge, you have to meet certain requirements and get interviewed. The Millionaire Challenge isn’t for everyone.

Information can be a bitter pill to swallow

Yes, even if you don’t enter the Millionaire Challenge, there can be information overload. Tim is constantly uploading fresh learning content. It can be overwhelming if you’re just starting off. Sure, it can be motivating to have your foot in the door, but there is heaps of information to digest.

Timothy Sykes Reviewed – My final verdict:

After taking several of his courses, analyzing his strategies and observing his moves, I came to the conclusion that Timothy Sykes is not a scam, he’s legit. It requires a considerable time, uncompromising dedication and consistent patience to be able to make profits. Success is only possible with the students hard-work and persistence.
